Claims Processor

The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and have a strong sense of customer service.The Claims Processor will work in the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina claims department and be responsible for claims processing and data entry. This position requires strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of medical billing and coding.Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical claims processing Working knowledge of medical terminology Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent customer service and communication skills Knowledge of medical billing and coding Responsibilities: Process medical claims accurately and efficiently. Enter data into the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina claims system. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all information provided. Follow up with customers on claim status updates. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner. Adhere to all policies and procedures related to claims processing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, billing and coding procedures. Perform quality control checks on claims. Provide customer service support to clients.
