About the position The Front Office Clerk at HealthPoint is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring accurate data entry into the electronic health record system. This role is crucial in facilitating patient check-in and check-out processes, explaining payment options, and supporting clinical staff in delivering quality care. Responsibilities • Greet patients and provide customer service. , • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using a multi-line phone. , • Perform data entry into the eCW electronic health record software system. , • Create and maintain patient files. , • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes. , • Explain payment options, including sliding scale fees, Medicare, and Medicaid. , • Collect and post patient payments. , • Complete patient intakes and income screenings. , • Conduct insurance verifications and authorizations. , • Support providers and clinical staff as needed. Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent required. , • Strong customer service skills. , • Ability to multi-task effectively. , • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably eCW.
