About the position The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant IV - Intake Interviewer to join our team in Abilene, TX. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of the department, particularly in the intake process for individuals entering the correctional system. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks, ensuring that all intake procedures are followed accurately and efficiently. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The Administrative Assistant IV will work closely with other staff members to facilitate the intake process, maintain records, and provide support to various departments as needed. In this position, the Administrative Assistant IV will be expected to perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, scheduling appointments, preparing and processing intake documentation, and assisting with data entry into the department's systems. The role may also involve communicating with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure a smooth intake process. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant IV will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures related to the intake process.
