Full-Time Baker

The Carriage House, a gracious retirement residence for active seniors in Oxford, is now hiring for a full-time Baker. This position will provide top quality breads, cakes, pies, cookies, and various baked goods to our residents as designated facilities by cooperating with the Executive Chef, Managers, and Activity Coordinator. Minimum Job Qualifications: ? Must be at least 21 years of age. ? Must possess valid driver?s license. ? Culinary Arts Degree and two (2) years? practical experience or five years of experience in commercial baking. ? Experience in supervising staff and adherence to employment regulations. ? Ability to read, follow, and prepare recipes provided by Hawthorn Retirement Group. ? Knowledge of and ability to conform to food service sanitation practices. ? Maintains food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state or provincial regulations. ? Maintains CPR and first aid certification as necessary to fulfill state or regulations. ? Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. ? Ability to work in a team setting and be a team player. ? Ability to work unsupervised. ? Commitment and respect for all individuals. ? Possess organizational skills. ? Possess computer skills to include Microsoft office suite. ? Possess excellent customer service skills. ?
