About the position We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our production team in Chester, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on metal components using the Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding process. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and a solid work ethic. The ideal candidate will take pride in producing clean and durable welds. Responsibilities ? Set up and operate MIG welding equipment, adjusting settings for optimal performance. , ? Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols for accurate weld placement. , ? Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components for optimal weld quality. , ? Perform MIG welding on various metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. , ? Inspect welded joints for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. , ? Clean up and finish welds by removing slag, spatter, and excess material. , ? Follow all safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE). , ? Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. , ? Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality standards. , ? Troubleshoot and resolve minor welding equipment issues.
