About the position The Product Copywriter at Saks is responsible for creating engaging and persuasive product descriptions for SaksOFF5th.com. This role involves writing, editing, and enhancing product content to drive customer engagement and increase conversion rates. The Copywriter will collaborate with various teams to ensure timely publication of accurate product information while adhering to brand standards and optimizing for search engine visibility. Responsibilities ? Write accurate and compelling product descriptions for online site content using persuasive language that highlights product features and benefits. , ? Process and enhance vendor-provided item descriptions. , ? Edit and QA product descriptions for online site content. , ? Follow and help to develop copywriting standards for a wide range of commodities. , ? Optimize copy for search engine visibility, including incorporating relevant keywords and metadata to improve search rankings and drive organic traffic. , ? Work with cross-functional partners and collaborate with the Product Copy team to facilitate the product onboarding process. , ? Enhance existing product copy to increase conversion. , ? Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, technology, tools, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to inform copywriting decisions and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. , ? Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively to meet deliverables and project timelines. Requirements ? Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Advertising, Communication, Fashion, or a related field. , ? Experience in retail or eCommerce preferred. , ? Experience in copywriting or content management preferred. , ? Excellent written communication skills, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar. , ? Basic understanding of HTML coding. , ? Knowledge of fashion terminology, trends, fabrics, and brands. , ? Working knowledge of MS Office and G Suite. , ? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. , ?
