Our stack consists of Elixir/Phoenix for the control plane, Rust and eBPF for the data plane, all riding on the speedy WireGuard VPN protocol for transport. Until now we've relied upon the official WireGuard client for Apple, but it's time to build our own. We're looking for a passionate engineer to lead efforts on Firezone's Apple client.

Qualifications

Previously published apps to the Apple App Store Experience working with Packet Tunnel Provider, DNS Proxy Provider, and related network extensions Ability to thrive in autonomous, remote-first environments Working proficiency with the TCP/IP, UDP, and DNS protocols What makes this role unique Your work will be public our product is 100% open source. Work closely with our users to ship features and fix bugs. You'll lay the groundwork for our Apple app, deployed to tens of thousands of end-users worldwide. Bonus points if you Have experience with security or VPN products, especially WireGuard Make contributions to open-source projects. Love to write and share your expertise with others.
