As we expand our portfolio, we are looking for a talented freelance Molecular Informatics Scientist to contribute to exciting new projects. ________________________________________ Job Description: Omicsveu Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled freelance Molecular Informatics Scientist with deep expertise in oligo design for multiplex multi-omics fluorescence in situ hybridization. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about advancing spatial bilogy molecular diagnostics for precession oncology . The candidate will work closely with our research team to support the design and optimization of oligonucleotide probes for multiplexed assays, contribute to the development of workflows for in situ PCR, and help drive forward our multi-omics research capabilities. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: •Oligonucleotide Design: Design and optimize custom probes for spatial biology , ensuring high specificity, sensitivity, and efficiency for multi-omics applications in situ. • Bioinformatics Support: Utilize computational tools and techniques for sequence analysis, probe selection, and optimization, including analyzing genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets to inform oligo design. • Collaboration & Communication: Work in collaboration with other scientists, researchers, and teams at Omicveu Inc. to ensure smooth integration of the oligo design into the larger project pipeline. • Technical Documentation: Document all design work ________________________________________ Qualifications: • PhD or equivalent experience in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or related fields with a strong focus on spatial biology technologies and multi-omics analysis. • Expertise in designing oligonucleotides (primers and probes) for multiplex particularly in the context of in situ hybridization applications. • Strong background in bioinformatics, including proficiency with sequence analysis tools, software for oligo design (e.g., Primer3, Oligo Analyzer, or similar), and data analysis platforms. • Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. ________________________________________ Additional Information: • This is a freelance position, allowing for flexible work arrangements (remote). • Compensation will be commensurate with experience. • The role is project-based with potential for ongoing collaboration depending on project needs and performance. ________________________________________ How to Apply: Please submit your resume, a cover letter outlining your experience in oligo design and multi-omics in situ applications, and any relevant publications or project samples to [insert email address].
