Part-Time React and Python Developer (Remote, Flexible Hours)
We are a startup seeking a talented and self-motivated developer skilled in React and Python to join our team on a part-time / contract basis. This is a fully remote role with flexible hours, ideal for someone who is looking for extra work, who thrives in a startup environment and can work independently with minimal supervision. The Project: To build a modern, user-friendly customer portal using React and frameworks like TailAdmin. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive portal that delivers an exceptional user experience and robust functionality for the Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
Responsibilities
Develop and implement user interface components using React.js or Next.js Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive code Optimize components and applications for maximum performance across a variety of devices and browsers Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve interface software issues Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation for front-end codebase Participate in regular virtual meetings to discuss progress and updates. The ideal candidate will have: Proficiency in React.js and/or Next.js and their core principles Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, React Context API) Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with backend services Understanding of server-side rendering and static site generation (for Next.js roles) Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with Python, including frameworks like Django or FastAPI. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with relational databases including Postgres, MySQL Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
