Caffe Macs Steward

About the position The Steward at Apple plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen areas within the Caffe Macs team. This position involves ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, while also supporting the kitchen staff by restocking supplies and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The Steward is expected to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen prep and production areas in a clean and orderly manner following established cleaning procedures and schedules.

• Operate dish machines according to company and manufacturer specifications, using proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer.

,

• Restock supplies needed by cooks to meet customer expectations.

,

• Remove garbage and clean and sanitize the dish machine at the end of each shift.

,

• Prepare equipment and obtain supplies needed for kitchen operations.

,

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including floors, equipment, workstations, and walls.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend, read, and communicate in English.

• Understanding and ability to follow safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.

• Knowledge of basic dish machine operations.

,

• Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers and managers through reading and writing.

• Well-groomed appearance and adherence to uniform requirements, including wearing non-slip shoes.

• Ability to stand for 100% of the time and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Possession of a ServSafe Certificate.
