This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).Key Responsibilities:Lead substation physical and/or protection & control (P&C) design efforts.Develop electrical engineering deliverables using tools such as CYME.Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource planning.Interface directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.Oversee QA/QC processes and mentor junior engineers.Support renewable energy integration and grid modernization projects.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.Minimum 5+ years of HV utility substation design experience (69kV–500kV or EHV 500kV+), either in physical or protection & control design.Prior experience with a consulting engineering firm on utility substation projects required.PE license or ability to obtain PE within 1–2 years required.Strong project leadership and QA/QC experience highly desirable.Please note:If you have less than 5 years of substation design experience you may not be considered.High demand for 5+ years of experienced.Experience limited to industrial, manufacturing, or LV/MV distribution is not a fit for this role.Currently employed by utilities may be highly considered if you have strong consulting-style design experience.Additional Information:Competitive benefits including flexible work schedules, 401k match, health insurance, and performance-based bonuses.Company culture focused on innovation, teamwork, and employee ownership.CompensationBase Salary - USD $120,000 to $140,000 YrlyFull-timeBenefits - FullRelocation Assistance Available - Possible for ideal candidateCommission Compensation - NoBonus Eligible - NoOvertime Eligible - NoInterview Travel Reimbursed - YesCandidate Details5+ to 7 years experienceSeniority Level - Mid-SeniorManagement Experience Required - NoMinimum Education - Bachelor's DegreeWillingness to Travel - Never Expected salary: $120000 - 140000 per year Location: Cary, NC Apply for the job now!
