IT Local Technical Support Specialist (Network)

Job Summary: As an IT Local Technical Support Specialist (Network), you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for the computer systems and networks of our regional sites and distribution centers. You will also be involved in designing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the network infrastructure and services along with security.Job Responsibilities:
  • Responding to user requests and issues via phone, email, chat, or in person
  • Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining hardware and software components
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems with computer systems, servers, storage, printers, networks, access points, routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices
  • Providing training and guidance to users on how to use various network applications and systems
  • Documenting and reporting technical issues, solutions, and feedback
  • Collaborating with other IT staff, outsource partners and vendors to ensure optimal performance and security of the systems and services
  • Performing routine maintenance and backup of systems and data
  • Evaluating and optimizing network performance data regarding things like speed, connectivity, and disaster recovery
Job Requirements:
  • A degree in computer science, information technology, network engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in providing technical support and customer service
  • Knowledge of common operating systems, applications, and protocols
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems in a timely and effective manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly
  • Open to travel to remote sites as required
  • Certifications from reputable organizations such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, Redhat, VMWare, AWS, Google, IBM, etc.
Additional Information:
  • Relocation and/or work sponsorship are not available with this position.
  • Position is LEDVANCE employee referral program eligible.
  • Position is located on-site in either Versailles, KY or Westfield, IN. Remote work is occasionally available.
  • Position remotes to off-site IT manager with dotted line to local facility manager.
