We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team to help streamline operations and maintain critical infrastructure. You’ll write custom code to automate operational tasks and support a fleet of nodes for multiple blockchain networks. You’ll also provide guidance and expertise to development teams to ensure their applications follow modern best practices. Your work will directly impact the health and stability of our L1.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • 2+ year of Software Development
  • 2+ years of Infrastructure experience
  • 2+ years of Linux and Ansible experience
  • 2+ years of Kubernetes experience
  • Previous Startup Experience is important. We move much faster than your typical enterprise environment.
  • Must play well with others, success is a team sport and at ZetaChain everyone participates!
  • Security Mindset: constantly anticipating and strategizing against potential threats and vulnerabilities in any system or process.
• Languages: Go, Ansible, Terraform, Bash
• Tech stack: Grafana, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Cosmos SDK
• Platforms: AWS, GCP, Bare Metal
• Location:
  • Bay Area with ability to visit our office is preferred
  • Open to remote in these regions only: USA, Argentina, and EU
• Job Responsibilities:
  • Write code to streamline operations
  • Build monitoring and dashboards to report on server, infrastructure, and web app health
  • Deploy and maintain blockchain nodes for ZetaChain, Ethereum, Bitcoin, etc
  • Manage infrastructure for web applications
  • Ensure all processes meet our security, performance, and reliability requirements
  • Participate in on-call rotation every month
• Bonus points:
  • Familiar with DevOps, DevSecOps, GitOps methodologies & best practices
  • Understanding of blockchain (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos); smart contracts (solidity), p2p networking
  • Experience with Go (Cosmos SDK, go-ethereum, btcsuite, Tendermint Core)

In-Office Culture

This is a remote position but we will prioritize applicants based in the Bay Area. Many members of our team workhybrid from our San Francisco office, and we aim for 2 to 3 in-office days per week. We know life happens, whether it’s travel, appointments, or family needs and we’re flexible when the schedule needs to shift. The company is a mix of fully remote and hybrid team members.

Compensation

Base Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 (San Francisco benchmark) This range reflects base salaries for roles in the San Francisco market. For candidates in other locations, compensation is adjusted to remain competitive within their local market.

In addition to the base salary, all full-time team members receive an additional 10% to 25% in liquid benefits with upside based on role, experience, and impact. We believe in building together and sharing in the long-term success of the network. Compensation packages are designed to be competitive and aligned with the growth of both the team and the ecosystem.
