Remote Scrum Master Opportunity: Drive Agile Excellence and Empower Data-Driven Decision Making

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scrum Master to join our team in supporting the Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) in accelerating the Department of Defense's (DoD) adoption of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in facilitating the Scrum process, ensuring that our team follows Agile principles and practices, and driving continuous improvement through collaboration and innovation.

You will be responsible for managing sprint planning, guiding daily stand-ups, tracking progress, and supporting continuous improvement by fostering collaboration between team members and stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our team and empowering data-driven decision making across the DoD.

Responsibilities will include:

• Documenting requirements and specifications, and reviewing documentation from other teams and vendors
• Collaborating with mission teams to connect with potential customers within the DoD and identifying prospective projects
• Analyzing and synthesizing requirements behind feature requests, suggesting alternative technical and business approaches, and coordinating engineering efforts to meet tight deadlines
• Providing subject matter expertise to guide iterative agile development and addressing evolving project requirements and solutions

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of experience, or a Master's Degree plus 3 years of experience
• Experience with Agile software development methods and tools
• Ability to synthesize requirements from feature requests, decompose them into user stories, and group them into logically consistent epics
• Ability to track and report team utilization and velocity
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with fellow CDAO members and DoD cross-organizational colleagues
• An active Top Secret SCI clearance
