About the Role & Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Graphic Design Manager to join our team at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts (East Coast). As a Graphic Design Manager, you will provide creative support for our parks and resorts, leading a team of 1-2 graphic designers to develop and deliver innovative visual communications, including guidemaps, booklets, guides, wayfinding tools, temporary signage, presentations, and more.

In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Planning leadership team to ensure seamless execution of projects, while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines under pressure. You will be responsible for leading the creative direction, development, delivery, and sustainment of a portfolio of work supporting our guests and cast members.

To be successful in this role, you must be a highly creative, forward-thinking, and positive individual with a proactive approach to work and leadership. You should have advanced skills in graphic design, illustration, typography, branding, and The Walt Disney Company core leadership principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a graphic design team through implementation of assigned projects
  • Develop a variety of creative solutions for project work at all stages from concept design through preparation of print and delivery
  • Ensure that client goals are met by working closely with integration, production, and operational teams as needed
  • Prepare specific deliverables, including print pieces, onsite support tactics, creative for environmental support, and supporting digital graphics
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with others in the organization, and as part of a larger, multidiscipline project team

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Graphic Design practice
  • Proven leadership experience of a skilled design team
  • Demonstrated thoughtful design and artistic skills in solving design challenges
  • Demonstrated ability in Adobe Creative Cloud and digital illustration tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of wayfinding principles and infographics
  • Knowledge of all phases of creative development and implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience within The Walt Disney Company

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program or equivalent work experience in a creative space
