Your Role: Essential, Rewarding, Impactful As a Revenue Cycle Remittance Poster, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the financial well-being of the organization through accurate and timely posting of insurance and patient payments. Your focus will be on processing remittances (EOBs/ERAs), handling adjustments and denials, and contributing to payment reconciliation efforts across hospital and professional billing workflows. Your attention to detail and consistency in posting ensures that providers are paid correctly and promptly fueling the broader mission of financial accuracy and sustainability. What You'll Do:

  • Accurately post remittances (electronic and manual) to patient accounts in the billing system.
  • Interpret and apply insurance payments, adjustments, and denial codes appropriately.
  • Reconcile posted payments with deposits, ERA files, and batch reports.
  • Identify and escalate payment discrepancies or posting errors to the appropriate team.
  • Support refund, reclassification, and unapplied payment workflows.
  • Assist with balancing daily cash, batch posting, and end-of-month reconciliation activities.
  • Crosstrain and support other general revenue cycle tasks as needed (e.g., charge entry, patient account maintenance).
  • Comply with HIPAA and internal policies related to data security and patient privacy.
  • Meet performance standards for accuracy, timeliness, and volume of remittance posting.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare billing or payment posting.
  • Knowledge of remittance processing, including EOBs, ERAs, and payer adjustments.
  • Familiarity with medical billing systems (Epic, Cerner, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with spreadsheets and reconciliation tools.
  • Experience in both hospital and professional billing environments.
  • Working knowledge of Epic Resolute for PB and/or HB.
  • Familiarity with denial management and payer remittance trends.

Posting accuracy

  • 97%.

Daily volume targets met

  • 95% of the time.
  • Timely posting of remittances within 48 hours of receipt.

Effective reconciliation with

  • 2% error rate in batch balancing.
