At CertifID, we’re on a mission to protect life’s largest transactions from fraud. We help title companies, law firms, lenders, and consumers safeguard billions of dollars from wire fraud daily. As we scale, we’re building a team of growth-minded individuals passionate about protecting our customers and transforming the way sensitive data is secured.

We’re seeking a talented and driven Data Engineer to help us elevate our data platform. This is a high-impact role where you’ll contribute to the design and development of scalable data infrastructure, support data-driven decision-making, and play a key role in shaping the future of fraud prevention. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment with plenty of growth opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines to support analytics, product insights, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Contribute to data architecture decisions, balancing performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions that drive strategic and operational impact.
  • Promote data quality and governance by implementing best practices for validation, lineage tracking, and observability.
  • Share knowledge and support the growth of peers through code reviews, documentation, and informal mentorship.
  • What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of proven experience in data engineering, ideally in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
  • Solid understanding of cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Scala, and proficiency in writing efficient SQL.
  • Familiarity with real-time data processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming).
  • Experience designing data models for analytics and machine learning use cases.
  • A proactive mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and a passion for solving meaningful problems.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, cybersecurity, or fraud prevention.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Contributions to open-source data tools or communities.
