We’re building a web based simulation platform that helps learners practice real world tasks. The experience must be clear, responsive, and thoughtfully designed for people who are still learning.

Henry Hire is looking for a freelance UX designer who understands how cognitive load affects learning and task completion. You’ll work closely with developers, data analysts, and procedural data engineers to create intuitive flows that support both challenge based learning and automated scoring.

What You’ll Do

• Design the full user flow across simulations: intro, task, workspace, feedback, and summary.

• Develop clean, minimalist interfaces that support clarity and concentration—not overwhelm.

• Work with Front-End Developers to turn mockups into modular, interactive components.

• Create reusable design systems for tasks like SQL input, drag-to-chart, or table sorting.

• Provide wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and design specs (Figma preferred).

• Collaborate on UX writing and onboarding moments to reduce cognitive load for beginners.

• Design with accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, and learning flow in mind.

Ideal Candidate

• Ability to design web-based interfaces or digital learning tools. We care more about your designs (portfolio, mock-ups) than your years of experience.

• Strong portfolio showcasing clean, responsive UI and intuitive flows.

• Experience designing for entry level, non-technical, or learner personas is a bonus, but not a requirement.

• Comfortable with low-to-high fidelity design stages and iterative feedback.

• Bonus: Experience with data dashboards, simulations, educational platforms, or no-code tools.
