Xero’s Partner Channel is exciting and we work in partnership with Accountants and BookKeepers to help them and their small business clients to become more successful. We do this by using Xero’s product and services to free up time and gain greater insight into their financial situation.

The Manager, Partner Sales is responsible for leading, coaching and motivating (Senior) Account Executives who work with Xero’s Partners helping them to achieve their sales targets and coaching them to add value, consult and guide our Partners through their digital adoption journey.

What you’ll do

You will ensure that your team is engaged and focused on delivering outstanding Partner experiences, and are achieving their targets. To do this, you will guide, coach and develop the team to do the best work of their lives and where required, challenge your team to encourage intuitive thinking to overcome roadblocks. You will align with our sales enablement program, to ensure your team are continually developing their skills.

You will ensure that they maintain their activity targets with the portfolio of partners that they manage and have clearly defined account plans.

You will remain in the know and advise the broader Xero business about our Partners including, buyer trends, feedback, competitor activity, acquisition opportunities and any upcoming roadblocks.

What you’ll bring with you

  • Proven leadership experience in managing sales teams in multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of the accounting & bookkeeping space, and/or industry experience.
  • Experience in using CRM and sales tools.
  • Experience in all aspects of people management including the ongoing performance management, professional skills development, coaching and career progression of the team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • A passion for coaching, developing talent and providing feedback to the team to help them succeed.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Flexible to travel to meet team and our partners in multiple locations.
