Senior Automations Engineer

Shift4 is expanding globally and hiring a key Automations Engineer / Automation Developer! 

This is an onsite role that can be based at any of the following Shift4 locations:  Las Vegas, NV / Center Valley, PA / Tampa, FL / Morrisville, NC / Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities

Develop and Modernize tactically scalable software solutions poised to increase transparency of business processes, homogeneity of data, and reduction of time spent on manual tasks across all sectors of Shift4.

Abstract Problem Solving

• Each project that will be tackled will be unique and have its own challenges, every day will be different!

Development

• With guidance and direction, develop modernized solutions to various business-related projects with a team.

• Will be tasked with everything from User Interface ( UI ) / User Experience (UX) development to database management and modeling.

Deployment and Acceptance

• On completion of development, the team will deploy our solution and help train the business teams on how to use our solution.

• Communicate technical information to non-technical business users.

Trusted Advisor and Advocate

• Seeks out new projects for the team to tackle and advocates on the teams’ behalf.

• Team will evaluate all projects and focus on them one at a time ranked by which will have the most benefit to the organization.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or experience in lieu of a degree. 

• 5+ years experience in Automations Engineering working on technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain.

• 1+ years of Database experience (MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)

• 1+ years of experience with ownership of projects and leading them to successful completion, cross-collaborating with teams. 

• 1+ years of developing with a No-Code/Low-Code platform (Decisions, Unqork, PowerApps, Bizagi, SalesForce Flow, etc.) 

• Understanding of RESTful APIs (academic or professional experience).

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

• UI/UX development experience

• Python, C#, C++, or other coding experience.

• Experience developing Enterprise class solutions/applications.

• Technical training or Professional Certification in Domain. (Udemy courses or other in above technologies).
