The Senior Supply Chain Data Scientist will join the Supply Chain AI team, reporting to Principal Supply Chain AI Scientist. This role is responsible for developing and deploying OR, ML and AI models to optimize supply chain functions across the enterprise. This role will be working remotely.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of OR/AI/ML models tailored to supply chain subject areas such as demand forecasting and sensing, inventory optimization, transportation and logistics routing, supplier risk prediction, production planning and network optimization.
  • Develop and deploy generative AI models for supply chain use cases, fine-tuning large pre-trained LLMs, evaluating modeling performance; continuously iterate and optimize the solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, IT, and business solution implementation team to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Partners with solution architect engineer to enable appropriate data flow/data model, development using appropriate tools/technology to ensure rapid prototyping, testing and deployment
  • Ensure models are robust, scalable, and production ready with clear monitoring and feedback loops.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on related emerging technologies and bring innovative approaches to supply chain optimization

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in applied OR/AI/ML roles, with at least 3 years focused on supply chain problems
  • Strong expertise in optimization, regression, classification, time series, deep learning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala or similar
  • Strong hands-on knowledge in developing/implementing Operations Research models and Machine Learning models to solve supply chain related problems
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms such as AWS, Snowflake etc.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of core business processes (Supply Chain, Operations) obtained by directly working in these functions is preferred.
  • Experience with AI agent solution development
  • Familiarity with ERP enterprise supply chain systems like Oracle, SAP
