Job Summary

As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you'll play a critical role in our Incident Response Team, working closely with experts to analyze breaches, develop rapid response plans, and enhance security measures. This part-time remote position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in emergency management, threat assessment, and collaboration, while developing essential skills in data entry, business analysis, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop high-quality technical solutions

• Ensure solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business strategies, and departmental standards
• Manage time spans for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget
• Serve as a resource to facilitate effective communication between business and IT groups
• Participate in system and acceptance testing
• Scope of work varies depending on the team project

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, cybersecurity, information systems)

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity and threat mitigation standards, theories, and practices
• Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm preferred
• Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) preferred
• Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement
• Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fundamental knowledge of technical environments required
• Openness to Agile philosophies preferred
• Coursework or experience related to cybersecurity preferred
• Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines
• Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year preferred
• Experience resolving business issues in a capstone or case competition preferred

• Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor
