Dodge & Cox is a reputable investment management firm known for its exceptional access to corporate management teams. The Research Associate will support an Industry Analyst in evaluating global investments, conducting research, and creating financial models.
Responsibilities
- Researching, analyzing, and performing due diligence on potential investments
- Monitoring portfolio investments, competitors, and industry developments
- Building and maintaining financial and valuation models
- Engaging with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts
- Creating investment-related presentation materials
Skills
- One to two years of related work experience or an undergraduate experience that demonstrates exceptional potential
- B.A. or B.S. degree and an excellent academic record
- Basic accounting knowledge; coursework in economics and statistics is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets and value investing
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with financial modeling
- Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a team-oriented environment
