About the Role

Ramp is looking for a foundational Risk Operations Team Lead, who can come in and scale the Risk Operations organization and help Ramp grow 10x. You will build and manage a team of Underwriters, Customer Management Risk Specialists and Risk Operations Analysts to ensure risk policies and procedures are executed efficiently. You will use data and analytics to identify opportunities, prioritize solutions and partner with Product and Engineering leads to build a best in class tooling and infrastructure to efficiently manage the risk policies. What You’ll Do

  • Develop a deep understanding of Ramp’s risk management policies (underwriting, payments, transactions, credit limit changes, collections) across corporate credit card and bill pay products by developing and implementing them
  • Build and manage a team of underwriters, risk management specialists and fraud operations specialists
  • Partner with product and engineering to build best in class risk tooling to increase operations efficiency
  • Partner with risk strategy and decision science teams to create a closed loop process to enhance policies and procedures
  • Leverage data and analytics to evaluate and prioritize solutions to improve efficiency
  • Research emerging underwriting and fraud trends to innovate on Ramp's decisioning systems and policies

What You Need

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Risk Operations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing and building Risk Operations teams
  • Exceptional ability to draw key insights from both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience collaborating closely with teams outside of support
  • Strong background in customer support via email and phone
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Investigative and critical thinking skills
  • BA/BS from an accredited university

Nice to Haves

  • Experience within consumer/ corporate/ small business cards, payments, invoices, lending, or related industries
  • Experience in high growth startups
  • Experience building complex financial products
  • Experience with Zendesk tooling
  • Knowledge of SQL or Python
