Job Description: OSP Design Engineer Position: OSP Design Engineer Location: Remote / LATAM supporting U.S. projects Type: Full-time / Contractor Overview We are seeking an experienced OSP Design Engineer with a strong background in fiber optic network design. This role focuses on creating, maintaining, and optimizing outside plant (OSP) infrastructure while ensuring accurate documentation aligned with field conditions. The ideal candidate is highly experienced, requires minimal ramp‑up time, and can immediately contribute to ongoing fiber deployment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze as‑builts, redlines, and construction field updates to ensure accurate design records Design aerial and underground fiber routes for backbone, distribution, and lateral networks Create splicing diagrams, fiber assignments, and network documentation Support small cell deployments and high‑bandwidth customer solutions Maintain and update GIS databases (ArcGIS, ESRI, QGIS) to ensure alignment with real-world conditions Interpret OTDR fiber traces and assist in break/fix troubleshooting Collaborate with field crews, splicers, design teams, and internal engineering stakeholders Ensure designs meet industry standards, engineering guidelines, and best practices Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience in OSP Design or similar fiber engineering roles Strong understanding of fiber optic networks (FOC) Proficiency with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, ESRI, or QGIS Ability to interpret as-builts, construction redlines, and technical drawings Experience producing splicing documentation and network technical designs Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
