QA Automation Engineer/ SAP Analytics Cloud/ Remote

They are seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a contract engagement focused on quality engineering across a multi-platform analytics and data cloud environment. This is a fully contract role with a strong emphasis on modern automated testing across UI, API, and backend layers. Contract Duration: 6 – 12 Months Required Skills & Experience
- Playwright for UI and end-to-end automated test development
- Java for test scripting and automation framework work
- Cloud experience in AWS environments
- Git for version control and collaborative development workflows
- Experience building or expanding automated test coverage from low baselines
- Hands-on experience with API testing and backend/database validation
- Familiarity integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience in regulated, government, or national security environments
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud or similar enterprise analytics platforms
- Knowledge of release management workflows and quality gates
- Experience with cloud-native data platforms or data warehousing tools
- Background in reducing reliance on manual QA through strategic automation planning

- 50% Playwright / Java Automated Test Development
- 25% API & Backend/Database Testing

Daily Responsibilities
- 60% Hands On — writing, executing, and maintaining automated tests across UI, API, and database layers
- 20% Team Collaboration — partnering with engineering to validate features prior to release
- 20% Planning & Strategy — identifying automation gaps and building out coverage roadmap
