Business Development Representative (French speaker)
Mimecast is a company focused on Human Risk Management and email security, and they are seeking a Business Development Representative who is fluent in French. The role involves generating and nurturing sales leads, conducting outreach, collaborating with various teams, and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting: Conduct cold calls and send outbound emails to identify and qualify potential leads
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential business opportunities through strategic outreach, through cold calling but also through email campaigns, and social media engagement
- Lead Qualification: Follow-up on marketing-generated leads to assess fit and potential for Mimecast products
- Partner Collaboration: Work with reseller partners to identify and generate joint opportunities
- Target Account Profiling: Research and profile target accounts to identify key decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential pain points
- Pitching: Articulate Mimecast’s value proposition in a clear and compelling way, secure meetings, and handoff to the wider sales team
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and ensure accurate tracking of all activities, interactions, and prospect details in the CRM system
- Prospect Engagement: Conduct initial needs analysis to understand prospect requirements, pain points, and business challenges, ensuring alignment with the company’s solutions
- Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives, marketing teams, and reseller partners to ensure seamless transition of qualified leads, alignment on strategic initiatives, and joint opportunity generation
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to effectively position the company’s solutions and refine outreach strategies
- Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified meetings with the appropriate sales representatives or Account Executives (AEs) to progress opportunities
- Continuous Learning: Attend training sessions, stay updated on product developments, and refine skills to enhance prospecting effectiveness
Skills
- Fluency in English & French is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage potential customers and articulate value propositions
- A motivated self-starter with a desire to exceed targets and grow your sales career
- Ability to handle objections and rejection, remaining focused and determined
- Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to conduct thorough needs analysis, understand customer pain points, and qualify opportunities effectively
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and channel partners
- Persistence and resilience in the face of rejection and challenges in lead generation
- Willingness to iterate messaging and approach based on feedback and market conditions
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to maintain high outreach activity levels
- Experience in tele-sales, business development, or outbound prospecting is a plus
- Experience using sales engagement platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM, and automation tools preferred
