Qualified... candidates will have some level of accounting education (associates or bachelors degree), but no previous bookkeeping experience is required. Candidates should also possess a friendly attitude, good communication skills, a desire to learn new skills, and the ability to problem solve. Previous public accounting experience is a plus. Candidates should be able to work independently and with others, as well as being technologically proficient. This is a work from home position. You will need to provide your own computer and good internet access. As a bookkeeper you will work 3-10 hours per week. Work hours are flexible, but some deadlines are firm. Some day time work hours will be required. After a period of training you will be assigned certain clients for whom you will be the day to day bookkeeper and point of contact. Tasks will include categorization of income and expenses, posting of journal entries, answering client questions via email, and sending completed financial reports to clients. Our team of bookkeepers communicates through Slack and we have a monthly video meeting to discuss important topics. • Preferred candidates would have associate or bachelor's degree in accounting and some accounting work experience. • Candidates do not need previous bookkeeping experience, on the job training is provided. • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with team members and clients via email and video chat. • Candidates should have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as with others. • Candidates should be reasonably technologically proficient. • Candidates must provide their own computer and have a fast internet connection. • Candidates located in PA or TN preferred.
