Role Description The Director, Business Solutions is a strategic and results-oriented leader responsible for the overall success of our title offerings including National Agency Solutions, Agent Integrations and Pricing Solutions. This individual will support agent engagement, develop and manage pricing solutions, and ensure the delivery of state-specific services that provide workshare and production products to agents. In this position, the Director will be a strong collaborator, working closely with sales and production teams to ensure seamless execution and optimal performance. A strong ability to actively seek solutions and availability to engage in person and virtually to achieve success is required.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive agent engagement strategy to foster strong, long-term relationships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for national agents with production and workshare business, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Create and manage communication channels to keep agents informed and engaged.
  • Act as a primary relationship owner to agents, with flexibility on availability after hours or upon agent need.
  • Travel as needed to support engagement with key customers; engage with Essent Title production leaders to optimize in-person meetings at locations optimal to agents including conferences.
  • Direct TPS efforts to deliver integrated production and underwriting services to agents, including managing “Help Desk” environment to capture, measure and monitor tickets for service.
  • Manage pricing engines that Essent Title engages with to support lender operations including updating, testing and auditing fees with each engine.
  • Collaborate with the finance and sales teams to ensure pricing alignment with business objectives.
  • Support changes to pricing both with agents and with pricing engines to drive revenue, support lender business growth and comply with state/engine/Essent pricing initiatives.
  • Oversee the delivery of state-specific services, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Customize service offerings to meet the unique needs of different state markets.
  • Partner with production teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all services.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate performance.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Based on number of agents engaged and volume supported, lead a team to deliver Pricing, TPS and NAS services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent industry experience; MBA/advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in the agency or insurance industry; practical experience in operations, risk, business solutions, and customer-facing systems a plus.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the agency or insurance industry; 5+ years of progressively increasing management experience including directing and leading organizational project teams preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, agent engagement, and state-specific service delivery.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agency or insurance industry.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to organize, build, influence and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to develop and implement long-term business strategies.
  • Skilled in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver clear, compelling presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, including investors.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite.
