As a member of the arenaflex family, you will join a passionate team dedicated to delivering a distinctive, delightful experience that turns routine visits into memorable moments.

Why This Role Matters

Our customers rely on arenaflex for more than just products; they trust us for friendly guidance, quick assistance, and a seamless shopping journey. As a Customer Service Associate (Temporary), you will be the face of arenaflex, ensuring every interaction—whether at the register, on the sales floor, or through our digital photo services—exceeds expectations. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast‑paced environments, love helping others, and enjoy a blend of in‑store and technology‑driven responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Interaction

  • Greet every customer with a warm smile, maintain eye contact, and demonstrate genuine interest in their needs.
  • Provide courteous, fair, and efficient checkout service using the assigned cash register, handling cash, credit, and digital payments accurately.
  • Answer product‑related questions, resolve concerns, and guide shoppers toward solutions that leave them satisfied.
  • Model and share best‑practice service habits—such as proactive assistance, need identification, and follow‑through—across the team.
  • Offer personalized recommendations, including complementary items, trade‑up options, and promotional offers, to enhance the shopping experience.

Operational Excellence

  • Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with arenaflex policies.
  • Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves; conduct regular inventory checks and keep accurate records.
  • Price new merchandise, receive shipments, and assist with stock rotation using the first‑in‑first‑out (FIFO) method.
  • Implement arenaflex asset‑protection procedures to minimize shrinkage and safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations for regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
  • Construct and refresh promotional displays, seasonal setups, and sale‑item arrangements as directed.
  • Separate raw and pre‑cooked foods according to safety guidelines, and position products on appropriate shelves.
  • Maintain a tidy store environment—both interior and exterior—by performing routine cleaning and organization tasks.

Digital & Photo Services

  • Operate the photo department, assisting customers with digital passport photos, poster printing, and creative machine projects.
  • Suggest and upsell promotional photo products, ensuring customers understand the value of each offering.
  • Manage web‑pickup orders: monitor incoming orders in arenaflex’s online system, pick items accurately, and deliver them promptly to waiting customers.

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Maintain respectful, supportive relationships with coworkers, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Participate in scheduled training sessions, complete performance‑linked learning modules, and apply new skills on the floor.
  • Undertake special assignments or projects as delegated by the store manager or shift leader.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a fast‑paced retail or service environment, preferably handling cash registers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and resolve issues with empathy.
  • Basic math proficiency for cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for a temporary assignment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive motions associated with checkout and stocking duties.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Familiarity with inventory management software and digital ordering platforms.
  • Experience in photo printing services or a strong interest in learning the technology.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and the ability to apply FIFO rotation principles.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through suggestive selling.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new procedures, promotions, and product lines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling merchandise and documentation.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Prioritizing the shopper’s needs and delivering service that feels personalized.
  • Communication Excellence: Clear, courteous verbal interaction and effective written communication when handling receipts or inventory logs.
  • Problem‑Solving Agility: Ability to think on your feet, de‑escalate concerns, and find win‑win solutions.
  • Team Spirit: Collaborative attitude, willingness to assist teammates, and openness to feedback.
  • Integrity & Compliance: Strict adherence to arenaflex policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
