Key Responsibilities

- Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, with prescription intake, data entry, and verification using arenaflex pharmacy systems.
- Retrieve, count, and pour pharmaceutical drugs accurately, double‑checking for correct medication, dosage, and patient information.
- Identify potential drug interactions or errors, report them immediately to the pharmacist, and follow the arenaflex Quality Improvement Program guidelines.
- Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Handle non‑clinical telephone calls, including communications with physicians, insurance providers, and third‑party prescription services.
- Enter and correct manual claims for third‑party programs, ensuring timely submission and accurate reimbursement.
- Support inventory management by receiving shipments, checking accuracy, stocking shelves, and participating in regular inventory counts.
- Maintain compliance with the arenaflex Pharmacy Code of Conduct, Good Faith Dispensing policy, and all applicable state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Retail Merchandising & Store Support
- Assist customers in locating over‑the‑counter (OTC) items, offering product knowledge and recommendations.
- Execute promotional displays, seasonal setups, and price changes as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
- Apply first‑in, first‑out (FIFO) principles to ensure product freshness, especially for perishable and consumable items.
- Provide photo services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and creative machine assistance, while suggesting related promotional products.
- Manage web‑pickup orders through Picture Care Plus, picking items accurately and delivering them to customers upon arrival.
- Contribute to store cleanliness and organization, both interior and exterior, maintaining a safe and inviting environment.
Training, Certification, and Professional Development
- Earn and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification through the designated training program or meet state‑required registration standards.

Essential Qualifications
