[Remote] Administrative Assistant - Safety

They are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the safety department, including document management, correspondence preparation, and maintaining safety-related records.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Safety department
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Document management – filing, printing and archiving
- Maintain safety related record-keeping to support team and compliance
- Distribute mail and route necessary documents - route calls and emails to correct parties
- Arrange and participate in safety related meetings and conferences
- Perform client service functions by answering employee requests and questions
- Maintains safety supplies and tracking for the team(s)
- Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards
Skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to professionally assist internal and external clients
- Perform duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision
- Great working knowledge and skill with of MS Office Suite, Word Processing software, Internet software, and Spreadsheet software
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Excellent organization skills and attention to details
- Actively participate in open, honest, and effective communication, within all levels of Southland
- Demonstrate forthrightness, with the ability to proceed straight ahead and be frank and candid with open and in-depth communication. – Speak freely

- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Working knowledge of construction and Safety and OSHA related information, programs, policies and procedures
