Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic patient‑support team. In this role, you will work from the comfort of your home while delivering exceptional service to patients, providers, and internal medical staff. You will handle inbound and outbound communications, schedule appointments, verify insurance details, process medication refills, and resolve a wide range of inquiries with professionalism and empathy. This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week position with flexible shift options to accommodate a variety of schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • High‑Volume Call Management: Answer a minimum of 11 calls per hour, providing accurate information and resolving moderate to complex issues.
  • Appointment Coordination: Schedule, verify, and confirm patient appointments using our clinical information system.
  • Patient Data Accuracy: Update and maintain patient demographic and insurance information to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provider Communication: Send and receive tasks to provider offices, facilitating timely access to medical services.
  • Referral Processing: Receive, expedite, and manage stat and at‑risk referrals, keeping patients informed of status.
  • Data Entry Excellence: Perform extreme high‑volume data entry with precision and attention to detail.
  • Complaint Resolution: Process and resolve expedited patient complaints, turning challenges into positive experiences.
  • Medication Refill Management: Review and process prescription refill requests in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Proactive Outreach: Initiate contact with patients, providers, and internal medical personnel to provide updates and answer inquiries.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and peers to share best practices, improve workflows, and support collective goals.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a call‑center environment.
  • At least 6 months experience delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Proficiency with arenaflex Office applications (arenaflex Excel, arenaflex Outlook, arenaflex Word).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Flexibility to work any of our 8‑hour shift schedules within normal business hours (7 am–8 pm Monday‑Friday; 7 am–5 pm Saturday‑Sunday).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical workflows.
  • Advanced understanding of health‑insurance products and eligibility verification.
  • Training or experience in a medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD‑10 coding standards.
