Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Customer Retention & Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as a retention specialist, engaging customers who are considering canceling their arenaflex services. Your primary objective will be to transform potential churn into long‑term loyalty by expertly addressing concerns, offering tailored solutions, and highlighting the unique value of arenaflex’s smart‑home ecosystem.
This is a remote, full‑time position that requires an initial on‑site training period (8‑12 weeks) at our Irving, TX campus. After training, you will work from a dedicated home office, leveraging a suite of digital tools to deliver award‑winning service and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Retention: Field a high volume of inbound calls from customers intending to cancel, using empathy and problem‑solving skills to uncover underlying issues.
- Solution Selling: Present customized offers—such as discounted rates, equipment upgrades, or service enhancements—to meet the customer’s needs while preserving revenue.
- De‑Escalation: Apply advanced de‑escalation techniques on escalated calls, turning frustration into satisfaction and preventing future escalations.
- Data‑Driven Decision Making: Utilize multiple software platforms (10+ tools) to retrieve account history, calculate savings, and generate real‑time proposals.
- Product Mastery: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of arenaflex policies, product portfolio, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Performance Tracking: Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly retention targets, contributing to team goals and personal bonus potential.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in regular coaching sessions, share best practices, and suggest process enhancements to leadership.
- Documentation: Accurately log interactions, outcomes, and follow‑up actions in the CRM system to ensure seamless handoffs and compliance.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales‑oriented call‑center environment, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding retention/sales quotas.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high‑stress situations, negotiate effectively, and close deals while preserving customer goodwill.
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree is a plus.
- Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 15 Mbps upload) and a distraction‑free home office setup.
- Strong attendance record and commitment to completing the full on‑site training program.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with smart‑home or security technology products.
- Proficiency in multi‑tasking across several screens and software applications simultaneously.
- Exceptional active‑listening, empathy, and communication abilities.
- Ability to interpret contracts, explain terms, and perform quick financial calculations.
- Negotiation and objection‑handling expertise, with a focus on win‑win outcomes.
- Familiarity with the wireless industry, service capabilities, and competing security providers.
Core Competencies
- Customer‑Centric Mindset: Prioritizing the customer’s experience and long‑term satisfaction above all else.
- Analytical Thinking: Rapidly diagnosing root causes of cancellation requests and crafting tailored solutions.
- Resilience: Maintaining composure and positivity when faced with challenging calls or high call volumes.
- Collaboration: Working closely with training, quality assurance, and product teams to stay aligned on best practices.
- Technology Savvy: Comfortable navigating CRM platforms, knowledge bases, and analytics dashboards.
