At Gradient Labs, we’re on a mission to make exceptional customer service the norm.

Founded in 2023 by a team of technical leaders from Monzo Bank, we’ve quickly gone from an idea to a growing team with customers you know (and probably love). Our AI agent helps businesses handle even the trickiest, high-stakes customer support queries safely and effectively, all while giving them the visibility and control they need to trust the outcomes.

We are a collaborative, ambitious, and fun team based in London, and we’re now looking for our founding Marketing team member. This role will be based in New York, where we are building our first hub outside the UK.

As Head of Marketing, you will...

  • Reimagine B2B marketing: Lead our marketing strategy in a rapidly changing landscape being transformed by AI, with the freedom to try out different approaches that break away from traditional B2B playbooks.

  • Craft compelling narratives: Develop and refine product positioning and value propositions that clearly articulate the transformative impact of our solutions and that resonate with both technical and business audiences.

  • Reinvent go-to-market strategies: Design and implement forward-thinking go-to-market strategies that leverage AI-powered tools, account-based marketing, and optimisation for AI search to drive inbound leads.

  • Create high-impact content: Produce engaging, creative marketing collateral that breaks the B2B mold - from interactive sales tools to thought-provoking white papers and innovative digital content.

  • Analyse & experiment: Test new approaches, tools, and channels to optimise the leads journey, using data-driven insights to continuously refine campaigns.

  • Be our ambassador: Represent Gradient Labs as a thought leader at industry events, webinars, and conferences, showcasing our expertise in AI-driven customer support.

  • Mentor & inspire: Hire and lead a high-performing product marketing team as we grow, fostering an environment of experimentation, collaboration, and creativity.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Lives on the cutting edge: Has genuine enthusiasm for AI and new technologies, with a passion for applying them to transform B2B marketing approaches.

  • Is a tech-savvy explorer: Actively seeks out and adopts emerging tools to optimise marketing performance and the customer journey.

  • Is a B2B marketing expert: Deep experience in product marketing, ideally within the tech or AI sectors.

  • Tells compelling stories: Possesses a strong background in developing engaging product narratives and effective go-to-market strategies.

  • Has strong communication skills: Demonstrates excellent communication and public speaking skills.

  • Is an entrepreneur at heart: Is proactive, creative and ready to drive change in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

What is the salary?

The final compensation will depend on the relevant skills and experience of the candidate, but we aim to pay within the top 10% of comparable roles at seed-stage startups. Where is this role based?

This role is based in NYC as our first hire while we build out our NYC hub, helping to establish and grow our presence in the US
